Donald P. Sunkin, 59, of 20 Woodbine Drive, Hempfield Township, is charged with robbery and receiving stolen property in connection with the heist at the Huntington Bank branch in Reynolds Plaza.

Ronald Antos of Farrell Arraigned him and jailed him on $100,000 Bond.

A friend of the accused called police after he left part of his costume, and a weapon at the friends house.

Police would not confirm the robbers demand at the Transfer Location, another article written by the Sharon Herald  indicated he asked for and received $50 and $100 bills along with five, $10 recorded “bait bills” in his blue bag he carried with him as he pointed the gun he had at the teller.

After police spoke with the person who had the costume, weapon and other items, police then called the Robber, advised him he was under arrest, and the robber got in his car and drove to the Greenville Police Station with the robbery cash in his pocket, all $1,810, including the marked cash.

He then gave it to police, was  held in the Greenville Lock up, taken to court, and then tells the judge,” let me go home, I am not going to go anywhere.”

The judge reminds him this is serious, and sets the bail at $100,000 of which our brilliant burglar would of had a 2% down payment had he not given the cash back.

Sunkin pleaded with the judge, saying he’s was on  different medications according to local police, including Methadone for his past drug use, Xanax, an anti-anxiety prescription medication; and a drug for dementia.

The judge made arrangements for his drug’s to be administered to prescription labeling in the jail.

Tonight he is in Mercer County Jail enjoying prison food, a hard bed, no privacy.

Who says crime doesnt pay?

Editors Note: If a smart lawyer can’t get this thrown out of court for Miranda rights violations, the dementia, the depression and sheer lack of stupidity I will be amazed.  Ahhhhhhhh Hello, is this the robber? Why yes it is! Could you come down and turn yourself in?  Ahhhh…. What the hell, I don’t have anything better to do today, I’ll be right there!!!!

Damn………….. if that ain’t the greatest police work of all time I would be amazed.
