In a letter to over 200,000 web site that WMU advertises with, and who host advertising for the failed bank, WAMU tday asked its affiliates to cease their advertising as a result of the bank failure. CNBC had previously talked about the deals offered by WAMU, but late in the day after that report WAMU sent this letter vbia emil to all of the people it works with, a group we are included in.  

Most of you have seen the news regarding WaMu today. We would like to ask that you pull all WaMu affiliate links effective immediately.

We will be shutting down the affiliate program today. You technically have 7 days to take down the ads, but in good faith we would like you to consider pulling all affiliate links related to Washington Mutual immediately.
