U.S. Rep. Phil English of Erie makes it official Friday — he will seek a seventh two-year term in Congress.English, a Republican, will announce the kick-off of his re-election campaign at noon Friday at the Avalon Hotel, 16 W. 10th St., according to campaign spokesman Adam Beebe. English, 51, has held the 3rd District U.S. House of Representatives seat for the past 12 years. He is currently unopposed for the GOP nomination in the April 22 primary.Democrats Kathy Dahlkemper, Kyle Foust, Tom Myers and Mike Waltner are seeking their party’s nomination for the right to take on English.
